MacDonald out for 'two to three weeks'

AFC Bournemouth manager Paul Groves has given an update on some of his injured players.

Richard Hughes has almost been in contention for the past two games but just missed out on making his long awaited Dean Court return, so he could be in contention for the trip to the County Ground to take on Paulo di Canio's Swindon Town.

Southampton loanee Lee Barnard is expected to return to action after the game away to Swindon, while Lorenzo Davids and Frank Demouge are continuing their return from injury.

But there was bad news in regards to MacDonald's calf injury.

Groves told the Daily Echo...

'...Shaun MacDonald picked up a tear around his calf and he looks like he could be out for two to three weeks with that.

'Richard Hughes has a thigh strain and has been close to these past two games but hasn't quite made it.

'Lorenzo Davids is also making progress but he is another one who needs to start joining in so we can build up his work.'
