Hargreaves: Good goals and good movement

AFC Bournemouth development coach Chris Hargreaves was delighted with his sides performance against Swindon Town on Thursday afternoon.

The development squad were playing their second game of the week at the clubs new training pitches in Kings Park, after losing to Forest Green Rovers 2-1 on Monday.

The Cherries squad had a familiar feel to it with Benjamin Büchel in goal, with the defence made up of Case, Bowles, Strugnell and Jonathan Meades, who replaced Cargill at left back from the Forest Green game.

The midfield was again AFCB Vital sponsored Josh Wakefield, Jamal and Gilkes, but Mark Molesley was replaced by trialist Baselle.

Up front was again Chiedozie and AFCB Vital sponsored Jayden Stockley.

Stockley opened the scoring with a classy free kick in the opening five minutes, before the Cherries enjoyed the majority of possession during the first half, but a wonder goal from Luke Rooney who weaved his way through the Cherries defence from the left wing before firing the ball past Büchel.

The Cherries restored their lead in the opening minutes of the second half when Jordan Chiedozie was fouled inside the area, he then stepped up and took the penalty.

Dan Strugnell then scored the sides third goal of the game, with a well guided header, before Chiedozie scored his second goal of the game.

Stockley then wrapped up the game with the Cherries fifth of the game, slamming the ball home from close range.

Hargreaves told afcb.co.uk...

"It was a good confidence builder, It`s another learning process where we were winning a game comfortably, and suddenly the game turned very quickly just before half-time after conceding a goal.

"We are delighted that we`ve converted chances but we need to create that fear factor of losing the ball.

"But it was a great performances with good goals and good movement."
