Groves: No issues with Tubbs

AFC Bournemouth manager Paul Groves insists there are no issues with striker Matt Tubbs and insists he will not be leaving Dean Court.

The Cherries striker who is yet to start a league game under Paul Groves management, has been limited to just 27 minutes of League One football thus far this season.

The former Salisbury and Crawley striker has been linked with moves away from the Goldsands Stadium, with former Crawley manager Steve Evans making two enquiries about Tubbs in recent months.

His first move was to make a six figure bid to buy Tubbs for League Two side Rotherham, while his second move was a loan bid.

Former side Crawley are also reportedly interest in taking Tubbs back on a temporary basis, but Groves has continually said that Tubbs remains part of his plans, while the forward has also said he is happy to continue to fight for his place in the squad.

When asked if Tubbs could depart the club, Groves told BBC Radio Solent...

'No, Matt is part and parcel of our squad, But we recognise his opportunities have been a little bit limited.'

'He's got a fantastic attitude, he wants to play and when he gets his opportunity he needs to take it,'

'That is part and parcel of having a strong squad. Me and Matt have spoken and there is no issue there.
