Arter: I haven`t seen a better team than us

AFC Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter believes the squad are growing in confidence now that they have won their first game of the season.

The Cherries started the new 2012/13 season slowly with penalty shoot-out defeats to both Oxford United and Portsmouth knocking the club out of both the League Cup and Football League Trophy and the League One season starting with three draws and one defeat.

Performances had been improving with good signs against Portsmouth continued against Yeovil on Saturday, but whilst the Cherries are enjoying good spells of possession, Arter believes the squad needs to score more goals.

Arter told the Daily Echo...

'The way the manager wants us to play, I haven`t seen a better team than us this season. It would have been easy for him to change our style when we weren`t winning but he stuck to his guns.

"There was a spell in the first half at Yeovil when we kept the ball for ages and played it around between the keeper, the defence and the midfield. Some managers wouldn`t want that and would be scared. They wouldn`t have trust in their players but he has complete trust in us.

"We won 1-0 and it could easliy have been three or four. The win had been coming because of the way we had been playing. We have just got to keep taking confidence from every performance. A win is a win but, next time, we want to try to get a few more goals."
