Addison: It's just the start for us

AFC Bournemouth captain Miles Addison hopes the Cherries can now 'kick on' after winning their first game of the season against Yeovil on Saturday.

The Cherries had started off the new football league season slowly, penalty shoot-out defeats to Oxford United and Portsmouth left the side out of both the League Cup and the Football League Trophy in the first round.

While the league campaign had started with three draws and a defeat to Sheffield United.

The pressure was beginning to mount on manager Paul Groves from some sections of the Cherries supporters, but a win against Yeovil will hopefully be the start of a good run of form according to Addison.

He told afcb.co.uk...

"It was brilliant for me to get the first win as captain. It had been weighing on me a bit heavier than it would have done last season, and I`m really pleased that we are able to put that behind us now and kick on,"

"It`s just the start for us. It`s only one win from five games and we know we should have more points on the board, but those are the facts.

"We have got a good run of games coming up now and if we can get a couple of wins in the next three of four games, then hopefully we can start moving up the table."
