Arter: Thankful for a second chance

AFC Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter has promised to not let down Cherries manager Paul Groves, his team mates and the fans down again.

The Cherries midfielder had disciplinary issues last season, collecting 15 yellow cards throughout the 2011/12 campaign.

He returned this season having said that he would improve his record, only to collect his first red card of his career against Preston, picking up two yellow cards in the space of 5 first half minutes.

He missed the Cherries trip to Sheffield United due to the following suspension, but returned to the side to impress against both Portsmouth and Yeovil.

Arter told afcb.co.uk...

"I wasn`t expecting to get my chance straight away after the Preston game. I made it known publicly that I was ashamed of the way I got sent off, and I`m glad the gaffer has forgiven me and given me another chance,"

"In my mind, I know that I`m not going to let him, the club or the fans down again, and I will try and repay him as much as I can.

"I look at managers like (Paolo) Di Canio (at Swindon) and I think I wouldn`t be here if he was in charge. But massive credit to the gaffer for giving me another opportunity and I want to keep repaying him with my performances."

I think the season will pick up now that Harry is back (Chris Skyline you thought I was a fool to even suggest Harry may comeback in some capacity). Anyway I suggest we get rid of a few on loan,Gregory, Mcdermott etc We need to give Tubbs some minutes on the pitch I really feel he is being mistreated by Groves, there seems to be some kind of dislike on Groves side which is a shame because I feel he could score a few when fully fit. Whatever happens the introduction of Redknapp is a masterstroke and will surely give the players the injection of belief they need. I think Elphick is a shrewd bit of business and the boy Mcquoid will be back to his best. Wait till Davids is fit and raring to go, Hughes will struggle to keep his place but is getting better with each game. I am still fully confident about this season in denim we trust.
