Groves: We are aware of Pitman

AFC Bournemouth manager Paul Groves was keen to not give anything away when he was asked about the prospect of Brett Pitman returning to the Cherries.

Pitman and midfielder Anton Robinson have both been linked to returns to the club this week.

The Daily Echo have reported that the Cherries failed to beat the transfer deadline, whilst holding discussions with both Bristol City and Huddersfield last week, but the deals could be revived during the loan window which opens on Friday.

Groves told the Daily Echo when asked for an update on Tuesday...

"Not at this moment in time.

"Brett (Pitman) is someone we are aware of, but you look at the strikers we have at the club already and you would say they are very good. There are also one or two waiting to get fit as well so there is a lot of competition in those areas...'

The only thing is Brett can actually put the ball in the back of the net whereas the others seem to be struggling

...let Thomas go out on loan and bring in Brett..?

Brett and Josh would be good. Glad PG is aware - the rest of us are!

Once tur wounded are back I don't see Tubbs or Thomas fit in. Atleast Fletch can retire & that's should give a little space.

pitbull pitman is clinical and so can be McQuoid. I don't think we need Pitman. What we need is some control in midfield. We have a strong defence but midfield needs sorting imo. A general who oppositions fear playing. Roy Keane type without the leg breaks would be ideal.

Davids will sort the general in the middle role believe me my friends in uterecht say he is a commanding midfielder with a great left foot just need him fit i think him and macdonald would be great let macdonald go forward and havr davids holding

Sounds good to me rydog1979. The team is too soft at the moment. We are skilled bunch of pushovers and whingers who need to get in the gym. Get into em.
