O'Kane: Sheffield United is a hard place to go
AFC Bournemouth midfielder Eunan O'Kane is looking forward to the Cherries trip to Sheffield this weekend.
O'Kane has already experienced the atmosphere at Bramall Lane after playing against Sheffield United for Torquay in last seasons FA Cup.
Torquay took the lead that day thanks to a third minute Rene Howe goal, but the home side hit back with an own goal from Mark Ellis and a brace from Ched Evans. Torquay scored a late consolation but were knocked out of the Cup to the delight of the 10,105 crowd.
The Cherries also tasted defeat at Bramall Lane last season. Ched Evans was again on the scoresheet before Richard Cresswell doubled the lead.
A rather fortuitous goal from Zavon Hines got the Cherries back into the game and for the final 20 minutes the 18,817 crowd begun to get nervous as the Cherries threatened to get an equaliser.
O'Kane believes that this season if the side can perform then they can return to the Goldsands Stadium with all three points.
O'Kane told afcb.co.uk...
"...We`ve got Sheffield United next and it`s a hard place to go, I went there with Torquay last year and it`s not nice when they get on top of you. We will have to go there and perform, and hopefully we can come away with points."
