AFC Bournemouth manager Paul Groves expressed his disappointment that the Cherries could not come away with all three points at home to ten man MK Dons.
The Cherries had dominated the early stages of the first half with good possession and working the ball well into the channels and took a well deserved lead when the ball fell to Lewis Grabban who managed to turn and shoot and found the net in front of a delighted North Stand.
The home side continued to search for a second goal and received a big boost following the sending off of Alan Smith for a dangerous tackle on Harry Arter.
Arter was having one of the performances of his career in midfield, working hard, making tackles, keeping the ball moving with simple passes as well as switching play when the time was right, so it was disappointing to see him withdrawn at half time.
Groves brought on Fletch to try and take advantage of the amount of chances the Cherries were creating out wide, but the change didn't work as Cherries gave up the midfield advantage despite having an additional man on the pitch and the team from stadium:mk were able to find an equaliser and hold on to a point.
Groves told afcb.co.uk...
"I can`t disguise the fact that we are all really disappointed because it was a game that we should have won. We were in front and they were down to ten men and the least you look to come away with is a 1-0 win, and that`s where the massive disappointment is,'
"We pinned them back in the first half and even before the sending off, we were the ones in the ascendency. We always looked like the ones likely to score, but you always have to be mindful of them counter attacking.
"The game was going our way and we didn`t press home the advantage and in this league, you can`t afford to do that."
