Addison: Very proud to be captain

AFC Bournemouth defender Miles Addison has been named as the Cherries new captain.

Following the departure of Adam Barrett to Gillingham for an undisclosed fee, Paul Groves has named former Derby defender Addison as the clubs new captain.

Addison wore the captains armband at Oxford and Portsmouth last week and he has now been officially named as the new captain for the 2012/13 League One campaign.

Addison told the Daily Echo...

"I am very proud to be captain of this club, proud to be captain of this team and proud to be Paul Groves`s captain.

"It is a big honour for me and my mum and dad were very proud watching me walk out and leading the team against Oxford...'

'...I captained Derby when I was 19 so I know what captaincy material is and what is needed to be a good captain for this team. It is quite a young team and I feel honoured to lead them."
