Fletch: Fratton Park will be rocking

AFC Bournemouth legend Steve Fletcher believes the atmosphere at Fratton Park on Saturday will influence the game.

The Portsmouth supporters are well known for their passionate support and this Saturday will be no different after a difficult summer and uncertainty over their future.

The Cherries travelling support will add to the atmosphere as over 2,500 AFC Bournemouth fans are expected to make the trip along the south coast.

Portsmouth haven't hosted the Cherries at Fratton Park since an FA Cup fixture in January 1991 and the last time the two sides met in the league was the old division two during the 1989/90 season.

Fletch told afcb.co.uk...

"It`s going to be a great occasion. It will be good for our supporters who haven`t been there for many, many years and it`s one everyone is looking forward to,"

"We are taking a good couple of thousand supporters with us and hopefully it will be a fantastic day for all of them.

"The place will be rocking and it will be the team that copes with the atmosphere the best, that comes out on top. And as soon as that first whistle goes and we get hold of the ball and pass it like we can, then I`m sure we will be fine."
