Groves: We have to wait and see regarding McQuoid

AFC Bournemouth striker Josh McQuoid has received good news after visiting the specialist.

The Northern Ireland international picked up the foot injury against Basingstoke, but after a visit to the foot specialist on Tuesday, it was revealed that he has not sustained a fracture.

He has however suffered bone and soft tissue bruising and McQuoid is currently still unable to walk completely pain free, but once he gets past that stage he should be able to make a quick recovery.

Groves remains hopeful over a swift return, although AFC Bournemouth physio Steve Hard has stated that he should return to training in two to three weeks.

Groves told the Daily Echo...

'...He is able to come out of his air-cast boot for longer periods but it will be down to how quickly he heals over the next few days.

"We have been assured that once he is able to put weight through it, then he will be up and running. We will just have to wait and see what happens.

"He has made significant improvement over the past couple of days but the Oxford game will probably come around too soon for him."

This good news , it could have been so much worse, Josh is likely to be our main striker this coming Season and key to whether we will be successful or not. It is looking as if it will be doubtful whether Demouge will be playing much before Christmas thoiugh..
