Meades: Delighted to be here

AFC Bournemouth trialist Jonathan Meades is hoping to be involved in this (Tuesday) evenings game against Championship side Cardiff City.

The 20 year old left back was released by Cardiff manager Malky Mackay earlier this summer and has been bidding to impress Cherries manager Paul Groves enough to earn a contract at Dean Court.

Meades has featured twice during pre-season away to Havant & Waterlooville and at the Goldsands Stadium against Reading, as Groves looks to add a left back to his side to offer competition to first choice Charlie Daniels.

Tickets are Adults £10 and concessions £5.

Meades told the Daily Echo...

"I was really disappointed to be let go, That`s just the way it goes in football sometimes. I had a couple of injuries and things didn`t work out for me there.

"I am delighted to be here and just want to crack on. I have been training since Monday and really like it here. Hopefully, I have impressed in training and in the games. It was fantastic to get 90 minutes against a Premier League team. It was a great test.

"If I get the chance to play against Cardiff, I will just be looking to play my normal game. I would like us to get a positive result because I would like to beat them. I know a lot of the lads there and would love to play against them."

I thought he was one of our better players on Saturday , he would be good cover for Cook .
leaprobe
...well at least Cook not at court until Jan 2013...so IF he is guilty we will have a transfer window to sort out a replacement...but as a left sided young player good replacement for Cummings
Garbo
don't we already have cover for Cook? Zubar would be fine and Bowles is improving fast - assuming an Addison and Cook first team preference...

He played left back so he's a cover for Daniels I guess. he looked shaky in first half but gaind confidence through out & looked allot better player when finishing. I would keep him.
Will-AFCB
I thought he didn't have a first touch or any pace about him personally...
brushfire
I thought that he played very well on saturday against Reading and wouldn't mind it if we gave him a contract

...dont want that 'lowlife' Bowles in the team, and believe me he is a right WKR....
Garbo
^perhaps it's just Zubar then...
