O'Kane: Hoping to settle down quickly

New AFC Bournemouth signing Eunan O'Kane is hoping to settle down quickly following his move along the south coast.

The 22 year old former Republic of Ireland under 21's international moved to Dean Court last week in a £175,000 move from League Two side Torquay United.

Last (Tuesday) night, he made his first appearance in a Cherries shirt, featuring against Conference South side Basingstoke Town for the first 75 minutes before being replaced by Jayden Stockley.

Now that his first game is out of the way he's looking forward to settling down in the area and the midfielder has been pleased with how the rest of the squad has welcomed him.

O'Kane told afcb.co.uk...

"I felt it went alright (against Basingstoke). The team put in a good performance, scoring five goals against a team from the Conference South, so it was a good work out and served a purpose. It meant we got our match speed up even more. It was my first game and I had to ease my way in, but the lads here have been great and I almost felt part of it as soon as I came through the door. I`ve had a few days training now, so it was good to finally get a game! Everyone has been top class in welcoming me, so I felt comfortable from the start...'

'...everything has been so busy! I just want to settle down here and relax, but I`m in the process of trying to get a flat sorted, and that`s going a bit slowly, but being this busy is all part and parcel of pre-season and I just have to get on with it. I`ll get there in the end and settle down pretty quickly!"
