Groves: McQuoid produced
AFC Bournemouth manager Paul Groves was pleased with striker Josh McQuoid's performance against Winchester City on Saturday.
The Northern Ireland international scored all of the Cherries goals during their second game of a 24 hour double header.
The Cherries had lost against Poole Town on Friday evening and initially fell behind against Winchester, but McQuoid eased the Cherries back to winning ways with a well taken hat-trick.
The first came from a one on one situation after being played through by Donal McDermott, the second came from a 20 yard free-kick and the third was a header after another link-up with McDermott.
Groves told the Daily Echo...
"For any player to score a hat-trick in the way in which Josh did - a counter, a free-kick and a header - is always good. It is not just about Josh, it is about the service and support he gets. But he has to produce as an individual and he did."
