Fogden: Making small steps

AFC Bournemouth midfielder Wes Fogden has begun light training following his shoulder surgery at the end of last season.

Fogden injured his shoulder in April after falling awkwardly in training. The injury required an operation and it was believed that Fogden would be out for around six months.

But the popular midfielder who signed for the Cherries last season could return ahead of schedule. He has now returned to light training and is looking forward to making the next step in his recovery.

Fogden told afcb.co.uk...

"I`m progressing nicely since the operation. I saw the surgeon last week and he said I`m doing well. 

"The movement is lacking a little so I need to build up the strength after not doing anything for so long when it was held up in a sling."

"Day-by-day I`m doing little bits - it`s all about making small steps and persevering. I`m doing running now so it`s all slowly coming together...'
