AFC Bournemouth manager Paul Groves firmly believes that the backing he has received from the owners will take the club forward.
The Cherries manager has only had eight games in charge of the first team, but over the summer he has been allowed to restructure his backroom staff, as well as scrap the reserves team and introduce a development squad.
The summer has also seen the youth team play on the new 3G pitches that have been built next to the stadium in Kings Park, while the full training pitches appear to also be close to completion.
But while the off the pitch plans are clear, Groves refused to go public with the targets that have been set on the pitch.
Expectation levels around Dean Court have been raised following a number of high profile signings including the return of Northern Ireland international Josh McQuoid and Dutch striker Frank Demouge from Eredivisie side FC Utrecht.
Bookmakers Bet Victor have placed the Cherries as ninth favourites for promotion behind Preston, Notts County, League One play-off losers Sheffield United and the team from stadium:mk, League Two promoted sides Swindon and Crawley and relegated Championship sides Coventry and Doncaster.
Groves told the Daily Echo...
'...Most of the things we have tried to put in place will stand the club in good stead for many years to come, in respect of the recruitment process and the development group.
"There are a number of things the owners have backed financially to take this club forward. That is fantastic credit to them...'
'...At some point, we will sit down with the players, discuss things and keep things in-house in respect of what we are trying to do (targets for the season)...'
