Donoghue: We will share our expectations

AFC Bournemouth head of youth John Donoghue will explain his expectations to the second year youth players as they return for pre-season training.

The players will meet newly appointed youth team manger Ross Embleton and Cherries management duo Paul Groves and Shaun Brooks today (Monday) and will learn more about how the new development squad will work.

The ten first year youth team players will join the squad on 16th July after being given a longer break for school exams and preparation for the new season, once the whole group is together they will all go through a testing programme, run by Pro Football Support.

Donoghue told afcb.co.uk...

'We are welcoming back the second years on Monday, and it's a chance for Ross to speak to the players and make them aware of his expectations for the youth team,'

'Paul and Shaun have a strong interest in the youth set-up and will also be there to share their expectations for the youth team as well...

'...It was important to give the first years a good break, We wanted to make sure they had physically recovered from last season because the intensity of the training coming up will be new to them.
