AFC Bournemouth are closing in on the signing of Derby County defender Miles Addison.
The 23 year old central defender became a popular addition to the Cherries squad during the end of season run-in with a string of good performances whilst on loan alongside central defensive partner Steve Cook.
Following the end of his loan spell, Addison returned to Derby County where he still has one year remaining on his current contract.
However Derby County manager Nigel Clough had stated that Addison would be likely to leave the club over the summer and a couple of Championship clubs were linked to him.
But the Cherries have remained the favourites to secure a deal throughout the summer and a deal now looks close.
Derby County manager Nigel Clough told the Derby Telegraph...
'...I think with Miles we are close to getting something done with Bournemouth, hopefully this week...'
While AFC Bournemouth manager Paul Groves told the Daily Echo...
"It has been an ongoing process of trying to get to a position where both parties agree with what is put in place.
"We are close to where we can, hopefully, start to get down to the nitty-gritty of it.
