EC Group sponsorship begins

AFC Bournemouth's partnership with Russian energy consulting company, EC Group has now officially begun.

The Cherries are the second professional football club that the Moscow based company have become involved in, with the other being German Bundesliga side Fortuna Dusseldorf.

The Cherries announced a new shirt sponsorship deal with the EC Group in May, with the new deal bringing the three year kit sponsorship deal previously agreed with Focal Point Fires 12 months ago to an early end.

A new blue away kit will be launched in time for the new 2012/13 season, whilst the home and third shirts will remain unchanged other than the new kit sponsor logo.

The Russian energy consulting company previously sponsored the Cherries pre-season European competition in 2011 and this latest sponsorship is seen as 'an integral part of substantial financial investment being made to the club by the EC Group.'

AFC Bournemouth Commercial Director Rob Mitchell told afcb.co.uk...

'We are delighted to be able to announce the Energy Consulting Group as our sponsors and look forward to a successful partnership. It is fantastic that they have decided to show their commitment to the club with this deal.'

'We have a lot to be excited about at this club with the progress we are making on and off the field, and we are pleased to have the Energy Consulting Group on board.'
