AFC Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell has put a price tag of £1million on midfielder Marc Pugh.
The Dean Court favourite has told manager Paul Groves that he is not interested in signing a new contract with AFC Bournemouth.
Since December Pugh has been considering a new contract with the Cherries but after returning from holiday he has rejected the contract on offer.
The Cherries player of the season's current contract expires in 12 months time and to avoid watching him leave the club on a free transfer, Groves has said that he will entertain offers from Championship clubs.
But Mitchell insists that any offer should be in the region of £1million.
Championship sides Burnley, Derby and Cardiff have previously been linked with moves for Pugh.
Mitchell told the Daily Echo...
"They have got to come up with a good offer and a good offer is what he is worth to us over the next year.
"We have got to consider whether he stays with us next season and walks away for nothing, or if we get a fee for him now."
"I think he is worth £1million to us - I honestly do think that...
'...We would prefer Marc to sign a contract but Marc is not interested in talking about any terms, wage structures or anything like that because he is desperate to play in the Championship...'
