Groves: Development coach role is vital

AFC Bournemouth manager Paul Groves insists that the Cherries will continue to search for the right person to take on the new Development squad.

As part of new academy plans at Dean Court, the Cherries will be running a development squad next season, aimed to bridge the gap between the youth team set-up and the first team.

AFC Bournemouth youth team graduates such as Dan Strugnell and Josh Wakefield are expected to be part of the squad and Groves is still looking for the right person to coach the side.

Groves told the Daily Echo...

"The development coach is one role we haven`t filled and it is a role we feel is vitally important and one we feel we need to make sure we get the right person for.

"We have spoken to one or two people and will speak to more people as well to make sure we do get that right person."
