Baudry & Symes join Leyton Orient

Former AFC Bournemouth duo Mathieu Baudry and Michael Symes have both joined League One rivals Leyton Orient.

The pair were released by Cherries manager Paul Groves at the end of last season following the expiry of their contracts at Dean Court.

Michael Symes had been linked with Bury, while Baudry had been rumoured to be joining Dagenham after helping the League Two side avoid relegation at the end of last season.

However both have been handed two year deals to join Leyton Orient.

Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade told leytonorient.com...

'I'm delighted to have signed Mathieu...'

'...I had a long chat with Lee Bradbury, who brought him to Bournemouth, and I feel he can push on and improve further with us.

Speaking about Michael Symes he added...

'...I think he can achieve more than he has done in his career to date with the ability he's got and I'm sure he can show that for us here.'

Both had potential to be decent Div 1 players - but both were hampered by injury so we didnt see how they progressed. Wish them both well apart from when they play us.

Still think we might miss Baudry. Thought he had potential in midfield rather than at the back. Both good signings for the 'O's'. Agree with AFCB65 hope they have 'shockers' against us...
