Brooks: Demouge brings goals and experience

AFC Bournemouth assistant manager Shaun Brooks believes that new signing Frank Demouge will enhance the Cherries squad.

The 29 year old Dutch striker became AFC Bournemouth manager Paul Groves' third signing of the summer, when the Cherries agreed a free transfer with FC Utrecht on Wednesday.

Demouge officially makes the move to Dean Court on the 1st July, subject to passing a medical following his return from holiday in Brazil.

He has agreed a two year contract and will compete for a place upfront alongside Wes Thomas, Matt Tubbs, Josh McQuoid, Lewis Grabban, Charlie Sheringham, Steve Fletcher and AFCB Vital sponsored Jayden Stockley.

'He brings goals, experience, a physical presence and a know-how to the team. He's played in the top level in Holland for almost his whole career and he's someone who will enhance our squad and give us different ways of playing,'

'Frank got flagged up to us about five or six weeks ago now by the co-owner (Maxim Demin). We've seen him play about eight to ten times on DVD and we were very impressed with what we saw...'
