Groves: We are looking for consistency

AFC Bournemouth manager Paul Groves hopes his side can find some early season consistency when the new League One campaign kicks off in August.

The Cherries start the new season away at Oxford in the League Cup before the new league season begins away at Fratton Park against Portsmouth.

The Cherries then face promotion hopefuls Preston, Sheffield United and the team from stadium:mk during the opening weeks of the season.

'...It is an exciting time when the fixtures come out, You are always aware of the upcoming season, but when the fixtures come out, it brings everything more in to focus.

'You know who you are going to play and when you are going to play them. You start to look at the different travel arrangements and preparation, making everyone's awareness of the season more heightened and the fact it's around the corner.

'As everyone, we will be looking for a strong start because if we can do that, it can give us a strong foundation to build on. We are looking for consistency throughout the season and we can help that by gathering early momentum...'
