Cherries to make third addition to back room team

AFC Bournemouth are set to add to their back room team with former Southampton coach Dennis Rofe being tipped to join Paul Groves team.

Groves began his backroom re-shuffle in May, with AFC Bournemouth reserve team manager and defensive coach Ryan Garry, First team sports scientist Louis Langdown and performance analyst Rob Page all leaving Dean Court.

Earlier this month, Paul Groves added performance analyst Garvan Stewart to his backroom team, which swiftly followed his first addition to his staff with Dan Hodges being named as the clubs new head of sports science.

The Cherries are expected to name a new first team coach and some one to take charge of the new development squad and the Daily Echo have reported that former Southampton coach Dennis Rofe could be set to take the first team coaching role.

The 62 year old currently works as a regional youth development officer for the Football League, but the majority of his experience comes from his time at Southampton where he has worked with their youth academy, reserves squad and as a first team coach.

He has also worked with Bristol Rovers, Stoke, Fulham, Kingstonian and Luther Blissett's annual Premier League Soccer Camp in the Bahamas.
