3 games added to Cherries pre-season

AFC Bournemouth have added three games to their pre-season schedule.

The Cherries had already announced three games at Dean Court, which will act as preparation for Paul Groves squad ahead of the new League One 2012-13 season.

Premier League side Reading will visit Dean Court Saturday 4th August, with Championship sides Cardiff City and Bristol City visiting the south coast on Tuesday 7th August and Saturday 11th August.

The three recently announced games are all against local non-league opposition, the Cherries will visit Southern League side Poole Town on Friday 27th July, Conference South side Basingstoke Town on Tuesday 31st July and then Southern League Division One South & West Wimborne Town on Wednesday 8th August.

Any of U guys herd any more about Chris Iwelumo leaving the Vic to go to your selfs... I wouldn't mind if he leave us.. In my view he's a donkey...

One striker rumoured to be attracting interest from Cherries is Watford’s Chris Iwelumo, but Groves insisted he was not the player in question. “I don’t think you would rule out anybody because you have to see what situations develop,” said the Cherries boss. “But he is not one, at this moment in time, that is at the forefront of our planning.” Taken from our local rag this morning.

He encourages hoof-ball. I hope this rumour isnt true

we already have strikers coming out of our ears, we dont need an aging striker that will only provide a body to aim at and wont improve with time. I really hope this isnt true

I'm not sure whether U would have anyone any better already... He did have a rubbish start to the season over here but in the last 6 matches he was close to man of the match in each game... He is a ex Scottish full international striker.. I don't suppose many of them come around Dean Court that often.. I really don't think it will happen... Been talk for days & nothing official yet... i don't think U need worry...

From the matches I've seen him play for Burnley he looked a good player & tbh he's better than Fletcher. But not we need for our strict style unless we still do loads of crosses. I think we only need a midfielder & Addison or bring back Baudrey & that's it but wouln't be unhappy if we signed Iwelumo (proberly not going to happen)

we shouldnt be looking to sign older players for a fee in my opinion, we need to be signing younger ones that we can sell on in a couple of years without making a loss. You need older ones in the squad but for what i imagine he would cost he's not worth it when we already have strikers that are good enough, i doubt very much iwelumo would be a regular starter for us
