Arter: Sometimes I'm like a kid

AFC Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter is determined to improve his disciplinary record next season.

The Cherries midfielder was booked 15 times last season, something that hit the midfielder hard as he was forced to sit out important games through suspension.

Heading into the new campaign Arter wants to improve this area of his game, but understands its something he needs to prove rather than just talk about it.

Arter told afcb.co.uk...

'...I feel that if I stay injury and suspension free, then I can play a lot of games because I will work as hard as I can and do whatever I can to get into the team...'

'...I go out and give my all and sometimes my temper does get the better of me, If I'm not getting the ball or we're not playing well, then the emotions take over. Sometimes I'm like a kid wanting to win too much.

'I can't get booked half as many times as I did last season, and I know it's something that has got to change but actions speak louder than words. There's only so much that I can say but it's definitely something I want to work on...'

Harry, sadly you are too hot-headed at times. Try this - every time you are booked, donate £100 to any local well known children's charity. If you don't get booked for a month, donate it anyway. You'll feel and play so much better. You have the potential to be a great footballer, good luck for the new season.

...the time has come Harry to make the most of your undoubted potential and discipline yourself to achieve a whole lot more...you can be a frustrating player at times...sometimes brilliant sometime petulant and poor...good luck the first step is understanding the problems...I wish you well and hope we can see the real Arter?

You need your managers guidance to help you mature - I would give yyou ten games to demonstrate an improvement in your attitude, discipline and behaviour - and let you go if this is not forthcoming

Harry is a good player in my opinion. A quick tmper is easy to improve. I'm sure he's man enough to do what is neccessary.
