Junior Cherries membership hits record high

Junior Cherries members proved that AFC Bournemouth is about much more than 11 players this season by smashing its membership record for the second year running.

After passing the 1,000 member milestone for the first time in the club`s history last summer, Junior Cherries went from strength to strength, adding a further 300 over the course of the season.

Junior Cherries members can enjoy up to 40% off tickets, with season tickets costing £75 in most areas of the ground, as well as special discounts off the club`s half term soccer schools.

On top of all that, two Junior Cherries members are chosen at random to be mascots at every home game. The package includes visiting the changing rooms before kick-off to have photos taken with their favourite player, and then leading the teams out on to the pitch.

And if that wasn't enough all JCs receive a Cherries shirt on their eighth birthday.

AFC Bournemouth was awarded Family Excellence status by the Football League earlier this month and has exciting plans to make match days at Dean Court even more enjoyable for its younger supporters.

Junior Cherries co-ordinator Serena Stone said, "It`s great to see so many young people excited about the club and signing up to Junior Cherries.

"Everyone here is looking forward to the new season and putting on some fantastic offers and events for our Junior Cherries members.

"We will be working hard over the summer to improve the match day experience for all our young supporters and making Saturdays about more than just the game."

The Junior Cherries also began a partnership with Splashdown earlier this year, offering its members discounts at the waterpark.

A Junior Cherries membership still only costs £6 a year and renewal forms have been sent to existing members.

They are also available online and in the Club Store over the summer.

Junior Cherries is open to all supporters from birth to the age of 16.
