Tubbs: It doesn`t get better than Bournemouth

AFC Bournemouth striker Matt Tubbs has spoken about how happy he is at Dean Court, following transfer speculation linking him to Rotherham.

Tubbs former manager at Crawley Town Steve Evans attempted to sign Tubbs last month, but his bid was firmly rejected by AFC Bournemouth.

Evans spoke openly about his desire to bring Tubbs to Rotherham and appeared convinced that if a fee could be agreed between the two clubs that he could have made an offer to attract Tubbs to the League Two side.

But Tubbs has stated that he is very happy at the club that he used to support as a child.

Tubbs told the Daily Echo...

"Bournemouth is my home-town club so I don`t really fancy travelling halfway up the country to be out of my comfort zone again.

"I am happy where I am. I am settled and have a couple of places down here, so there is absolutely no reason for me to move away at the moment.

"I was brought up here, all my friends and family are here and the south coast is probably the nicest place to live in the country. It doesn`t get much better than Bournemouth...'
