upthecherries.co.uk takes a trip down memory lane as we look back over the years to previous AFC Bournemouth and Doncaster Rovers encounters.
The fixture that first comes to my mind is our clash at The Fitness First Stadium the season before last - when we won 5-0 after being 4-0 up after 25 minutes, Dani Rodrigues putting us 1 up after just 3 minutes. James Hayter also got a couple that day as well as Eddie Howe and Gareth O'Connor in an impressive home victory in a season that saw us just miss out on a playoff spot.
A couple of years previous we met Donny in the FA Cup at home - Danny Thomas getting on the scoresheet that day in a 2-1 win where we faced Tuesday's winners Southend in the next round. Wade Elliott scored the winner to put us though after Robert Gill has equalised for Rovers.
A player that left Doncaster for undisclosed fee today was Nick Fenton, who fans will remember from his two loan spells at our club from Man City across two season. As I say, he's now left the club and the 26-year old has joined Grimsby Town - so we won't be seeing him on Saturday.
