AFC Bournemouth are set to sign Lewis Grabban from League Two side Rotherham United.
Rotherham United manager Steve Evans confirmed that the Millers had agreed a fee with two League One sides, while reports on Sky Sports revealed that the Cherries were the favourites to sign the winger/striker.
The other team interested in Grabban had been Crawley Town, who failed to agree personal terms with the 24 year old last week.
Grabban was Rotherham's top scorer in League Two last season with 21 goals from 47 appearances and he is set to have a medical and complete the transfer on Friday after agreeing a three year deal to move to Dean Court.
AFC Bournemouth assistant manager Shaun Brooks told afcb.co.uk...
'We've followed Lewis' career over the last two or three years, but it really took off last year when he went to Rotherham and scored a lot of goals, Similar to Josh (McQuoid) he can play out wide or up front, he's strong, quick and has got good feet. He's willing and eager to improve as well. He wanted to come down here and play.
'He believes in what we are trying to do as a football club, so he's got all the right attributes that we are looking for in a player that can move this club forward.
'We've been in talks for about a week, ten days now with Rotherham and Lewis' agent. Everything has been agreed now, he needs to have a medical and we will have him as part of our squad for pre-season.'
