McQuoid: Feels like home

AFC Bournemouth striker Josh McQuoid has said that he feels like he has returned home following his move back to the Cherries.

McQuoid left the club for Championship side Millwall 18 months ago, but failed to settle with the London side.

He was limited to just nineteen appearances (nine starts) scoring once for Millwall, but did enjoy a run of fairly regular football when in January he joined Eddie Howe on a 93 day emergency loan move to Burnley.

McQuoid made seventeen appearances (nine starts) in the Championship for Burnley during his three month spell at Turf Moor, scoring once and his end of season form was good enough to receive a Northern Ireland call-up for their friendly against Holland on Saturday.

McQuoid told afcb.co.uk...

'I'm pleased to be back. The club looks like it's doing well, I've had a look around and it seems to be heading in the right direction and I can't wait for the season to start, I think I will settle in quickly because I know a few of the lads already and it feels like home for me here.

'I feel confident I can come back here and do a job. It was good for me to play some games at Burnley and I feel fit and ready for pre-season.'

'I hadn't played much at Millwall and I went to Burnley where I was in and out of the team, so I wanted to come here and play games, This is where I'm from but that wasn't the main factor, I spoke to the management team and it seemed like a club that wanted to go far and I wanted to be part of that.'
