Fogden sidelined for six months

AFC Bournemouth midfielder Wes Fogden could be out injured for the next six months.

The Dean Court favourite injured his shoulder in training two weeks ago and missed the games against Colchester and Scunthorpe.

He is now set for an operation to cure the problem on his shoulder, which will mean he will miss the first few months of next season.

AFC Bournemouth caretaker manager Paul Groves told afcb.co.uk...

'It looks like Wes is going to end up having to have an operation and if that's the case then we need to get that underway.

'He adds something different to the rest of the group and has become a very important part of the squad. To lose anyone as important as he is, is a blow.'

'It's difficult for any player to be injured and to have to deal with that but it is part and parcel of the game. The club has to make sure all the work is carried out to make sure the players the best possible chance to stay fit.'

...best wishes Wes...thankfully three of those months will be the close season...

No justice there. Wes has already fought back from a potential career ending injury. We will miss him. Best of luck Wes.
