Junior Cherries Splashdown Party

The AFC Bournemouth squad paid a visit to Splashdown in Tower Park to celebrate with the club`s Junior Cherries members before their party at the water park last week.

The players signed autographs and posed for pictures with young supporters before they enjoyed an evening on the slides and flumes.

The free party was the first since the club started a partnership with Splashdown in December, and was attended by almost 100 Junior Cherries members.

Striker Wes Thomas said...

"It was a great turn out from the Junior Cherries and I`m sure they had a good time.

"Myself and all the players are always happy to chat or sign autographs for any of the supporters young or old, but it`s always nice to meet the kids who come along and cheer us on every week.

"They are the future of the club, and I`m pleased that the club and Splashdown have put the event on as a thank you for their support."

Jackie Richmond from Splashdown added...

"The kid`s faces absolutely lit up when the players walked in and it was one of the most successful events we have put on.

"It was a pleasure to see so many young Cherries fans at Splashdown, and I`m sure the players were a bit jealous they couldn`t jump in.

"Hopefully we can put on another party later on this year and even more Junior Cherries members can come along."

A Junior Cherries membership costs just £6 a year and gives supporters under the age of 16 up to 40% off tickets and a discount in the club store, while under 8s gain free entry to games and receive a replica shirt on their 8th birthday.

In addition, JCs get the opportunity to meet players at regular club organised events throughout the year and receive their own exclusive monthly newsletter.

The club announced details of the 2012/13 season tickets last month, with Junior Cherries` tickets reduced by 25% to £75 in most areas of the Seward Stadium, while family season tickets can be purchased for only £550 for a family of four.
