Stockley: I want to start games

AFC Bournemouth striker Jayden Stockley is targeting his first league start for the Cherries.

The 18 year old who turned professional last season, has made 20 appearances for the club since making his debut at 15, with just one Football League Trophy start under his belt.

AFCB Vital sponsored Stockley believes his time on loan at League Two side Accrington, where he made 10 appearances, including 5 starts and scoring 3 goals has helped his development and Stockley now believes he is ready to push for his first League One start.

Stockley told BBC Radio Solent...

'Every player has to be confident and I'm at the stage when I want to start games.'

'I think I needed to go and get experience elsewhere to benefit me at Bournemouth, and I've done that up north at Accrington.

'The minutes I played, the goals I scored, everything was beneficial and it's stood me in good stead for the rest of the season here...'

....Lee needs to give him a go soon, just to see if he can cut it
Garbo
I agree. As much as we all love Fletch he wont be playing forever (very unfortunatly!!!) and Stockley could be a nautral replacement for him. But hees needs a good run in the 1st team with the fans getting behind him to see if he can cut it
North Cherry
if he could try staying on his feet and not diving around like a fairy looking for a penalty everytime hes in the box he might be a half decent striker. IMHO
