O'Kelly: Hopeful over Taylor deal

Hereford United manager Richard O'Kelly has opened talks to extend Cherries striker Lyle Taylor's stay at Edgar Street.

The former AFC Bournemouth assistant manager, took over at Hereford United earlier this week after Jamie Pitman was demoted from his position as manager.

Cherries striker Lyle Taylor joined the League Two side last month on a short term loan and Taylor has recently found his scoring boots, netting twice over the past week with his first coming against AFC Wimbledon and his second on Saturday against Morecambe.

O'Kelly would like to extend the loan deal and he told the BBC...

'There are already negotiations taking place,

'From our point of view there are financial restrictions at Hereford, priorities sometimes.

'I only met him a week ago and he's the sort of player I love to work with him for a longer period. I hope we can work something.'

He's scored a couple of goals now as well. We might need him back soon!
