Bradbury: Partington to have operation

AFC Bournemouth manager Lee Bradbury believes that midfielder Joe Partington might need an operation on his injured ankle.

Partington has been out injured since October after damaging ankle ligaments against Bury.

The game was only his fourth match back after seven months out following a hip operation, but Bradbury believes that Partington will remain patient following his latest injury set back.

Bradbury told the Daily Echo...

"Joe has got to see a specialist and we will have a look at that. It looks like he might have to have an operation to clean up any debris in his ankle..."

'...He`s a great lad and a really good pro. He wants to work hard and is a fit lad who would be in and around the squad. It`s just a shame for him he hasn`t been able to get any consecutive games under his belt this season.

"He`s a strong-minded character. He`ll be fine. He`s just got to stay patient at this moment in time. As a young pro, he hasn`t really broken into the team and stayed in the team. That`s got to be his aim. He`s got to stay patient with his injuries because it`s easy to get run down with them."
