Smith: World Cup experience will be priceless

AFC Bournemouth target Adam Smith will not make a decision on his future until after the Under 20's World Cup in Colombia.

The Spurs right back enjoyed a successful loan spell with AFC Bournemouth last season and manager Lee Bradbury had hoped he would consider a return.

However the 20 year old has previously been linked with Championship sides Ipswich, Reading and Burnley and with the Under 20's World Cup being shown on British Eurosport, Smith hopes to impress a large audience.

Smith told skysports.com...

'I've got the World Cup coming up in a few weeks for the Under 20's, so that is my first thought and when I get back from there I'll hopefully know where I will be playing next season...'

'...It is a massive tournament that is shown around the world and I'm sure that lots of people will be watching on TV and at the tournament itself.

'It is a great stage for me to show what I can do and the whole experience will be priceless.'

Meanwhile Bradbury has ended his interest in former Grimsby full back Peter Bore.

This is great for him but sad for Bournemouth becuase do you really think that he will join us again after he gets all this attention after the world cup?

More to the point, have we got time to wait until the end of the world cup for a right-back?
chris skyline
True.
Will-AFCB
it seems irrelevant now, great YOUNG player - we should have signed him when we had the chance

Does anyone have any good suggestions for who we should sign as a new right back?
Will-AFCB
Kevin Amankwaah from swindon town
chris skyline
Abit old aint he?
Will-AFCB
Playing for AFCB is great for players careers, look at wiggins, Ings, Pearce and Smith, or if you look back a few more years, players like Defoe and Rio Ferdinand. Rarely do we have a player on loan who doesn't go on to playing at top level, that says someting about this club
