Duo wait on injury news

The argument revolving around the need for so many pre-season friendlies rumbled on last night with AFC Bournemouth's casualty list now up to three.

Neil Young was subjected to a nasty challenge in a game away at Havant and Waterlooville which resulted in Young injuring his knee and last night Shaun Maher and James Coutts both picked up injuries in the 2-0 win over Wimborne Town. For match report click here.

Maher had to withdraw after only 12 minutes of the match with a calf strain, while James Coutts turned his ankle.

Speaking to the Daily Echo Cherries manager Sean O'Driscoll said...

'Shaun felt his calf pushing off from a goalkeeper's kick so we'll have to wait and see tomorrow.

'James went over on his ankle at the end so I don't think that will be too much of a problem but Shaun's a bit of a worry with Neil Young still not diagnosed and his problem seems to have dragged on.

when I saw Shaun being brought off, he'd taken his boot and sock off, so I presumed it was his heel again. If it's his ankle now, I feel for the bloke, not been too lucky, has he. But I am crossing my fingers that Couttsy's ok - he was playing so well last night!

Why oh why do we keep playing these teams? Can we not play some league opposition woudn't go round trying to break our legs?
Druss_the_Legend
I fully agree with Druss. Do we really need to play so many mickey mouse teams?
