Griffiths signs for Brentford

Adam Griffiths has signed a one year deal with an option for an extention with league one rivals Brentford.

The 26 year old Australian defender joined the Cherries in January after he was released from Watford. Niggling injuries stopped him getting a run in the Watford side, while an ankle and a knee injury prevented him from getting a run in the side when he joined the Cherries.

After spending 6 months on the south coast the defender only made 6 starts and 1 substitute appearance before being sent off in his final game for the Cherries.

Brentford boss Leroy Rosenior told brentfordfc.co.uk...

'Adam's got a lot of potential and gives us a balance in defence. He hasn't played many games in England, but has had plenty of experience playing in Australia and Belgium. He's six foot three, great in the air and will give us strength in a position that needed stregthening'.

shame i thought he was good, i was impressed with his defensive duties but he also gave us that threat on corners.

He'll do a good job for them there. Hopefully, he won't come back to haunt us!
Tierney
Good defender shame we could not accommodate him.

as I have said before, he was a great defender, and a bit of alright-oh well, I only have to wander 5 minutes down the road to watch him again :D

Agree with you all, although we have a lot of defenders, I thought he was a bright prospect
