Burnley offer for Bartley accepted

AFC Bournemouth have accepted an improved bid for midfielder Marvin Bartley from Championship side Burnley.

Former Cherries manager and current Burnley boss Eddie Howe previously had a reported offer of around £250,000 rejected by AFC Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell.

However the Championship side made an improved offer and Mitchell told the Daily Echo he has 'reluctantly agreed' to sell.

Mitchell also stated that the fee will "remain undisclosed".

what I love about Mitchell is, he's so resilient and always sticks to his words :)

Nothing to say this deal has gone through yet? although I feel for you guys with Owen Coyle having done the same to us albeit a sideways move at the time and taking virtually all our staff along with him, if it does go through it goes through, I still wish you all the best for the rest of the season.

he is average and we will do without him. We have Harry Arter and Danny hollands ready to show us how over-rated he is! UTC

Another kick in the proverbials is it? Sometimes I feel sorry for your manager because you seem to keep on losing players. Knowing how you have played this season so far I wouldn't mind betting you cope.

Look, we wont perform any less just because we lost Marvin Bartley. Dan hollands is quality and I cant wait to see him starting again. He would easilly start in any other league 1 club. He can do Marvins job, no problem and has a much better range of passing. In fact, him and anton: class midfield. Good luck Marv, lets hope you dont end up the same as mcquoid, who thought he was too good for the club after 6 months of first team football and is now an injured millwall bench-warmer

....so everytime a player (or even our manager?) leaves he is the bad party?..sorry but I see a trend here...
