Mitchell: Not always seen eye to eye

AFC Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell has revealed that he hasn't always seen eye to eye with Cherries manager Eddie Howe.

Mitchell revealed that he had held "genuine, frank and honest talks" with Howe and assistant Jason Tindall over the last few days, while Howe weighed up offers from both Crystal Palace and Charlton.

Howe eventually revealed his intention to stay at Dean Court on Tuesday afternoon, ending speculation linking him with a move away.

Discussing his relationship with manager Eddie Howe, Mitchell revealed that he believed the two to be similar in personality, although admitted that he was probably more rash than his manager, but both have a determination to succeed.

He went on to tell the Daily Echo...

'...I think, at times, you are going to clash. But life goes on and you repair clashes. We`ve not always seen eye to eye but it`s nothing which has jeopardised our future.

"We`re both strong-minded people but there are certainly no ill feeling between us.

"I don`t want to be surrounded by 'yes` men and I never have been. He certainly isn`t one..."
