Howe: Grinding out results

AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe was pleased with Josh McQuoid's performance as the Cherries picked up the three points against Walsall at Dean Court on Saturday.

Following his call-up to the Northern Ireland squad, Josh McQuoid hit his second hat-trick in a week to secure the points for the Cherries.

Howe told BBC Radio Solent...

'Walsall made it difficult for us. We knew it was going to have to be a patient performance.

'Josh has had to be patient and wait for his opportunity, but now he's got it he's taken it. It's hard work that's got him his success. He deserves all the credit he gets.

'This is a tough league with some very good teams in it. There's no easy games and we give everyone the same respect. Hopefully we can keep grinding out results.'
