AFC Bournemouth utility man Lee Bradbury believes the squad have enjoyed their pre-season and are ready for the start of the new nPower League One season.
The Cherries travel to promotion favourites Charlton this (Saturday) afternoon, for the opening fixture of this seasons campaign.
It's the first time AFC Bournemouth have travelled to the Valley since 1999. That game was a League Cup fixture which ended 0-0. The second leg at Dean Court also ended 0-0, with the Cherries winning on penalties.
The last time the two sides met in the league was April 1975, when the Cherries won 3-2.
Bradbury told afcb.co.uk...
'...We have had a successful pre season that has been really well run. Jon Dalzell has been brilliant for us, he knows when to run us and when not to, how to recover and we have learned a lot from him and it has been a big plus having him on board with Eddie and Jason bossing what we do.
'We have a tough opening game at Charlton, in fact we have a very tough opening to the season!'
'Charlton are a side that are going to be right up there this season and it will be difficult, but we go there with confidence that we can get a result. There's no fear, we feel we can more than handle ourselves in this league and we proved that against some good sides in pre season and we are all looking forward to the season starting.'
