Blackpool linked to £700k Pitman move

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway is set to make a £700,000 bid for AFC Bournemouth striker Brett Pitman according to the Daily Mail.

Holloway is looking to rebuild his side after winning promotion to the Premier League following a dramatic Play-Off victory over Cardiff.

Reading and Bristol City have also recently been linked with Pitman who scored 28 goals in League Two last season.

When asked by the Daily Echo a couple of weeks ago about the possibility of selling players, including top scorer Brett Pitman, AFC Bournemouth Chairman Eddie Mitchell said...

'No - no way.

'Brett is here. I saw him on Tuesday in the corridor and he looks fighting fit and looking forward to the challenge.

'You can dismiss it completely. We want to keep them all.'
