Sponsored Walk raises £6,000

The Don`t Walk Alone sponsored walk from Boscombe Pier to Hengistbury Head has raised around £6,000 for AFC Bournemouth.

Directors Jeff Mostyn, Steve Sly and Adam Murry joined around 150 supporters and AFCB Vital's Cherry Bear for the walk on Sunday.

AFC Bournemouth Chairman Eddie Mitchell was unable to join the walk as he has been stranded in Dubai following the eruption of the Icelandic volcano.

Don`t Walk Alone organiser Tracey Mulholland told the Daily Echo...

"It was fantastic and we couldn`t have asked for a better day,

"It went like clockwork. I would like to personally thank everybody who sponsored and took part. I would also like to thank Eddie Mitchell and the board for their help."
