AFC Bournemouth Chairman Eddie Mitchell is hopeful that the Football League may drop the Transfer League embargo down a notch, to enable the Cherries to sign loan players.
AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has been working under a transfer embargo for the past 10 months, with the football league only allowing the signing of West Ham midfielder Anthony Edgar for a 28 day emergency loan signing earlier this season.
However with the clubs winding up petition with HMRC now dismissed and all legacy debts with them repaid, the club is hopeful the Football League could relax the ban.
Mitchell told the Daily Echo…
"We submitted more information on our proposals to move forward earlier this week and a member of the board will be visiting the Football League for dialogue.
"We would like to think that we could persuade them to allow us to have loan players. I don`t think for one minute that the embargo will be lifted but there is a chance they might take us down a notch…"
Mitchell went on to reveal that without the clubs long-standing debts, we made a £20,000 profit this month.
Mitchell added…
"…I`m enjoying my time here and it`s been a real eye-opener. I just wish I had got involved sooner."
