AFC Bournemouth favourite Mark Molesley is set for an anxious wait over the next month.
The midfielder has been wearing an air-cast boot for the past 2 weeks, in the hopes that 6 weeks on crutches will help to resolve a recently discovered early sign of a stress fracture.
Molesley had been attempting to play through the pain barrier, due to the Football League's transfer embargo and while the midfielder knew he would eventually require an operation to cure a persistent foot problem, he was unaware of the possible stress fracture until it was highlighted by medical specialists.
Molesley told the Daily Echo...
"It will be good news if it works and bad news if it doesn`t.
"If it responds, the boot would come off after six weeks and I would be able to slowly build up my training with a view to being back by the end of January.
"The worry is though, if the boot comes off and it hasn`t healed, they would have to operate and that would probably keep me out for the rest of the season...'
