AFC Bournemouth midfielder Sammy Igoe has been cleared to play through the pain barrier, but remains a doubt for the Cherries trip to Macclesfield on Saturday.
Following an eight week lay off, Igoe returned to action against Chesterfield in the FA Cup, but unfortunately was on the end of a hard tackle.
The injury sustained required five stitches and Igoe missed the league game away to Bradford last weekend.
Fortunately the gash has not affected the bone bruising which Igoe had been suffering with and he has now been told he can return to action.
AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe told the Daily Echo...
"The specialist told Sammy he could keep playing through the injury because he wouldn`t make the bone bruising any worse.
"He is still in discomfort but, hopefully, it will be bearable enough for him to play. The cut to his shin is healing but he is still doubtful for Macclesfield."
